Prayers

Opening:

Lord Jesus, may your word take deep root in my heart and transform my way of thinking, discerning, and acting. May your Spirit open my ears to hear and understand the word of God in the Scriptures that I may revere and treasure both the Old and the New Testaments which God has prepared for all who desire to enter into his kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy. Help me to be a diligent student and faithful disciple of your word.

Read:

Jeremiah 7: 1-11;

Psalm 84: 3-6, 8A, 11;

Matthew 13: 24-30

When was the last time you shared your faith with someone?

For reflection:

"It's important to know that at the end of the day it's not the medals you remember. What you remember is the process - what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands - those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish twelfth or you're an Olympic Champion." -Silken Laumann
