Prayers

Opening:

Lord Jesus, you came to save us from the power of sin and death and give us abundant everlasting life in your kingdom. May I always rejoice in your saving work and trust in your plan for my life.

Read:

Micah 5: 1-4;

Psalm 13: 6;

Matthew 1: 1-16, 18-23

Think of the worst sins of your life. Think of the worst sins committed against you. What are the worst injustices in our culture of death? What has broken your heart? What are your greatest disappointments? At Mass, bring to the altar your whole life, especially the worst parts of it.
